Octbox Compact Seatbox
Description
Designed for the mobile angler that needs something ultra light to carry on his shoulder.
Essentially a strong stable seat with Bait waiter that acts as a height adjustable storage shelf when docked on the underside of the seat frame.
The leg system has been tested with weights in excess of 1000kg (1T) without the legs slipping and the bespoke solid alloy grip feet have been designed to grip on slippery ground including wet greasy wooden boards.

Excellent Piece of Kit
I am mainly a feeder/float angler but struggled with the usual feeder chairs as I am awaiting two replacement knees and they were just too low (and too flimsy!) so the Mk20 Compact seemed to be an ideal option.
I am over the moon with the seatbox. I can sit at a height that makes it easy for me to stand up despite my knees, it’s remarkably comfortable even without the chair. I can just about get all that I need (feeders, bait, groundbait and/or pellets) in the baitwaiter and with my terminal tackle and bits and bobs in the deep drawer unit I added, I’m ready to get fishing with 10 minutes of getting to my peg.
The feeder arm is very sturdy and a great addition.
Whilst it is relatively light, it is still a little heavy with the accessories added and when loaded with bait etc if you have a bit of a walk to your peg. Recently, I added the rear wheel kit to my collection and that has made life so much easier.
As everyone says, the help and aftersales support by Rick and his team is really first class and an example to any business that is wondering what good customer support looks like.

Very pleased with my purchase.
I very rarely leave reviews for anything. However, after quite a bit of use, I feel that my Octbox really deserves one. Initially, I bought the standard Mk20 Compact, but always wanted to add the swivel seat whenever it was in stock. I used the box in standard form for about two months. Considering that seats with no backrest have sometimes caused me back issues, I was remarkably comfortable and happy with the standard box. I was almost tempted not to bother with the swivel chair.
My resolve melted away when the swivel chair actually came back into stock. Unfortunately, with the swivel chair fitted, the standard legs were a touch too long for me, particularly on steeper banks. Rick advised me how to modify my legs to whatever length I required. Ultimately, I made the decision to buy shorter legs and keep the longer ones for those times when I use the standard seat (if I actually intend to fish the pole).
What I’ve ended up with is a chair/box that can cover just about every angling scenario I’m likely to encounter. In one guise it’s a lightweight compact box. In the other, it’s what I’d call a feeder chair. It perfectly covers my needs that used to require two different items.

Excellent piece of kit
After trying Preston, Daiwa and to many other boxes I thought I’d try the Octbox Seat Box.
I wanted something light but sturdy, the Octbox compact is perfect.
Seat is comfortable the locking system for the legs is brilliant they stay where you put them and even though it’s so light it is extremely stable, I use a quiver tip and feeder arm and there’s no bouncing of the quiver when you move on the seat.
The side tray is a genius piece of design, wish they did a small bait hood for it!
Octbox are super helpful, great kit, great company, comfortable angler happy to recommend.

After using many various seatboxes over the last 50yrs, i finally decided to buy this model, a well made choice, absolutely outstanding engineering and quality, i can’t believe how light it is, even with 2 drawer units fitted, to say I’m happy with is an understatement, Fantastic, 10/10.

Just bought the MK18 Compact seat box, and all I can say is what a fantastic bit of engineering , this is the best seat box I have ever purchased. I bought the compact for lightness as I am getting on a bit, and Rick recommended which drawers to go with it, it is so sturdy and I am set up in seconds which is all I want. I have had many of the other brands of seat boxes over the years and this is the best by far. And Rick was very helpful, well done Octbox.
